What the tool reads

The directory picker makes the selected relative names available to this page. Only the explicitly chosen playlist's text is read after Inspect. Media bytes are never opened. Filenames, playlist text and result values are not sent to a server or another site by the tool.

Where results live

The current selection and complete result are held in this page's memory so paging does not reread files. Clear, a new selection and the pagehide hook discard the relevant state. There is no application use of localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, cookies, service workers or analytics. No download or repair writes a file.

Ordinary website requests are different

Opening a hosted page requires normal requests for its HTML and local assets. Infrastructure providers may log IP addresses and requested paths. No production hosting-log retention policy has been verified for this service; this page does not promise that infrastructure has no logs. Opening an external reference link takes you to that provider's own site.

Select only a directory you intend to inspect. Browser extensions, browser-internal behavior and the operating system are outside this tool's inspected data boundary. A local-data claim is not a general security or anonymity guarantee.
